Comprehensive in-home class on the benefits of breastfeeding, basic feeding techniques, maternal anatomy assessment, eating patterns, expectations for the first weeks, including engorgement and nipple management, milk collection and storage, and some basic newborn care. Also includes plans for back to work. Approx. 1 ½ - 2 hrs. Resource material is also provided.

Great Start –  In-home Consultation
$50/30 min

Comprehensive evaluation of breastfeeding in the home including:  latch-on, weight checks for milk transfer, and infant and maternal anatomy assessment. Discussion of any problems or concerns, providing an in depth plan of care.  Approx. 2-3 hrs depending on complexity, to encompass 1-2 feedings. 

Bundle of Joy – In-hospital  Consultation
$85

In-hospital consultation to evaluate  latch-on, positioning, milk transfer and the initiation of breastfeeding. Approx. 1 hr. Includes free follow-up phone call. 

Safe and Sound – On-Call Lactation Consultant Services

Combine the Ready, Set, Go class and the Bundle of Joy consultation, while keeping the consultant on-call day or night.  Available for 4 weeks, 6 weeks, or 3 months contracts.
